I am a former rhythmic gymnast turned professional circus acrobat, specializing in contortion, hand-balancing, and aerial silks. I have had the opportunity to perform all over the United States in productions such as "Pippin the Musical" on Broadway and for the premiere of Cirque Du Soleil's Kurious. I have also performed internationally at special events in Hong Kong, Italy, Puerto Rico, and the Bahamas.
In addition to performing, I also own my own studio, ShellyFLEX Athletics, in Maryland, USA, where I have been teaching flexibility, hand-balancing, and contortion for more than 10 years!
I am extremely passionate about sharing the knowledge that I have been gathering ever since I was 6 years old, both through my own experiences in training with a variety of professional coaches, as well as everything I have learned from working with hundreds of students of all ages and skill levels.

Do I Need to Have a Facebook Account?
You will post your videos for feedback in the Facebook group and I will get back to you within 24-48hrs. The live classes will be recorded and posted in the group, and you can always ask your questions ahead of time.
The Facebook account is where I will be providing feedback on your videos and questions as well as where I will be posting the live group classes.
Do I Need Special Equipment?
What if I decide this isn't for me?
Additional equipment is not absolutely necessary, but many of the drills incorporate tools such as a foam roller, lacrosse ball, yoga blocks, sliders etc.
You have 30 days to request a refund for the "How to Become a Contortionist" course, and if you do you must provide proof of completion of all course videos and assignments within the "How to Become a Contortionist" course, in order to qualify for a refund.
How Much Experience Do I Need to Take the Course?
How Much Time Do I Need to Commit to Training Each Week
The courses are designed to take any individual, no matter their skill level and help them develop proper technique and a solid foundation for flexibility, inversion and eventually contortion skills training. Each course builds on the one before it and you can spend as much or as little time on each course as you desire. You can always skip a skill or exercise and come back to it later if you need a refresher.
There is no set amount of time that you must commit. This course is great if you are looking to learn new skills on your own time as a hobby, or if you are looking to take your training to the next level. You can train as little as 1-2 hours per week or you can train 2-3 hours per day.
